The weather is just barely warming up and it’s about to be that time of year when you start thinking about engagement photos. If you’ve never had professional photos taken of you, the whole concept of engagement photos may seem a little daunting. Here, we’re sharing three tips to help you take the best possible engagement photos.
- Do something that makes you relaxed right before your session. For some, that might mean having a glass of wine beforehand. For others, it may mean doing yoga or practicing breathing exercises. Some couples have even found that just talking with each other before their shoot helped them out. Whatever you choose, you want to make sure your engagement photos look relaxed and natural, instead of rigid and forced.
- Plan what you will wear in advance. Chances are great that many people will see these photos, so you’ll want to keep that in mind. Wear something that you’re comfortable in that makes sense for the season (this is especially important if your shoot is outside). The last thing you want to stress about the day of your engagement session is what you’re going to wear.
- Hold your engagement session somewhere that is meaningful to you as a couple. When you look back at the photos, you will think of your memories from that particular place, and the photos will be that much more special.
